*MEASLES IMMUNIZATION RECOMMENDATIONS*
According to the HKPR Health Unit, as of March 19,2025 there have been a total of 440 measles cases (357 confirmed, 83 probably) in Ontario.

They reported that :"Along with routine immunizations, the following is advised for individuals who live, work, travel, worship, or spend time in affected regions and communities with measles cases and where the risk of exposure is higher..

-
Infants (six to 11 months): should receive one dose of the MMR vaccine. Two additional doses continue to recommended after the age of one year.
-
Children (one to four year): Children who have received their first dose of measles-containing vaccine are encouraged to receive a second dose as soon as possible (at a minimum of four weeks from the first dose.)
-
Adults (18+ years) born on or after 1970: A second dose of MMR vaccine is recommended."

*RSV*
An RSV vaccine has been authorized for use in Canada for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease caused by RSV in patients that are 60 years of age or older. However, it is not yet available to us. Public Health will notify us when it is available. Dr.Azzopardi does not think that the population of the studies is sufficient to warrant a recommendation for it at this time.
